Transmission Frequencies
Shannon & District Community Radio has been allocated a frequency on the FM band
by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland - this is 88.1FM.
Our transmission on the FM band is in stereo.
And we're LIVE on the Internet...
During our broadcast day programming is available on the web at WWW Feed.
WINAMP or iTunes
You will need Winamp or iTunes installed on your machine to pick up the feed.
HELP! with WinAmp: Download WinAmp from the link above or from the link on the Home page. Install Winamp on your machine and accept the default settings or change them as you wish. THEN click on the link to the web feed on the homepage. Before it loads the audio stream it will likely default to your regular audio player but will give you the OPTION of selecting 'Other'. Select 'Other' and then select Winamp from the drop down list or from the list of applications presented.
To STOP listening close your Winamp player.
Trouble with Winamp?
If you have installed Winamp and it is not opening when you click the link then you might try this -
1. Open Winamp directly.
2. Click on the 'File' menu at the top of the Winamp screen & select "Play URL" or Ctrl+L
3. Type in or cut and pastethe following URLs:

Your computer will connect directly to the appropriate server.
VLC Player
1. Download VLC player from here.
2. Go to directory where file was downloaded & double click "vlc-1.0.5-win32.exe"
3. Click "run" -> choose language -> agree to license -> choose plugins & file associations (untick 'firefox plugin', 'audio', 'video' & 'other' check boxes -> choose directory to install (leave as default) -> finally run vlc
In vlc player click "Media" -> open network stream - > in address enter "

Coverage Area
Our coverage area is Shannon and north to Newmarket on Fergus and east to Quin, Sixmilebridge and Cratloe.
Good reception should be available accross the Town, Industrial
Zones and Airport. Coverage will include portions of Newmarket-on-Fergus
and Clonmoney, Bunratty, Firgrove, Drumline, Lemenagh, Ballinooskny
and Cloverhill areas.
